Superfan. Supersuccess.

The purpose of this site is to assess the recent formation of a new culture of fans called superfans and influencers. These two groups are reshaping how entertainment companies are using social media. The article features two industry personnel that deal with these new fans on the regular. I used the FancyBox plugin to allow the text, which was stored as a separate html file, come to life in a scrollable display.

The circular icons on the left and right margins of the webpage feature some of todays biggest recording artists and their most active superfan accounts. For these popouts, I used a LightBox plugin to allow the static icons to spring to life when clicked and open in a new display, showing the superfan accounts. The plugin also allows for the ability to view all of these icons as a gallery in an easy, aesthetic manner.

To give supporting evidence for superfans importance, I made an Adobe Edge Animate animation equipped with statistical examples. Instead of writing examples, I figured this was a more interactive and simplistic way to convey this information. This too was made using the FancyBox plugin to open in a separate display.
